I am Max Gladstone, writer, reader, martial artist, fencer, fiddler, and singer. I graduated from Yale University in 2006 with a degree in East Asian Studies, and currently teach English in Xiuning County, China on a fellowship from the Yale-China Association.

I've written two novels in the last couple years, along with a handful of short stories and personal projects; I'm working on my third book, and have ideas stewing for my fourth. Both completed novels are on offer - the first, a mystery novel called Sente, and the second, a science fiction work called Walker in the Gyre. The links will take you to a sample chapter for each.
